1. Beishan Highway Cycling Route
The Beishan Highway runs from Daxi straight through the Central Mountain Range to Yilan, featuring lush greenery and majestic mountain scenery along the way. Especially during the maple leaf season, it attracts large crowds of visitors. The area also includes hidden gems like Jiaobanshan, Baleng Bridge, and Xiaowulai Scenic Area, tucked away in the mountains.

2. Longtan Sanlin Bicycle Path
Located amidst tea fields, the Sanlin Bicycle Path starts at the Hakka Cultural Museum, offering diverse rural scenery along the way. Stretching approximately 7,190 meters from the Daxi Shimen Irrigation Canal to the historic Sankeng Old Street in Longtan, this waterfront green corridor connects attractions such as the Butterfly Flower Corridor and Sankeng Spring. It offers a blend of irrigation scenery, rural landscapes, and cultural heritage, with public amenities like observation decks and pavilions along the route—a beautiful cycling path that combines nature and culture.

4. Shimen Reservoir Lakeside Cycling Path
Covering the vast areas of Daxi, Fuxing, Longtan, and Hsinchu’s Guanxi, the Shimen Reservoir cycling route begins at Pinglin Toll Station and loops around the reservoir, offering stunning lake views. In autumn and winter, it’s especially beautiful with its colorful foliage.
