The Penghu International Marine Fireworks Festival is an important annual tourism event. Aside from water activities and enjoying the sea view, you can also admire spectacular fireworks shows at night. This year’s event runs from April 19 to June 21, featuring 23 sessions, with the main venue located at Guanyin Pavilion Leisure Area. Additional shows will also be held in Xiyu Township, Jibei, Qimei Township, and Huxi Township. Travelers might want to start planning their trip.

1. PengFang PROFOND – Taiwan’s First Whisky Museum
Penghu’s first large-scale shopping mall, “PengFang PROFOND,” not only houses the largest duty-free store in Penghu but also features Taiwan’s first whisky museum. It offers everything from dining and entertainment to shopping—delivering a boutique-like retail experience, complemented by specialty dining, the Whiskey 101 Museum, Star Exploration Extreme Sports Arena, and in89 Luxury Cinema.

In addition, the newly opened Pengcheng Landscape Hotel is located next to the mall, featuring up to 236 scenic rooms. It is also connected to PengFang’s massive duty-free shopping mall, Harbor No. 3, and includes facilities such as a 2,900-ping outdoor garden, sauna, and infinity pool.

2. Baisha Houliao Village – Donggang Old Pier
At Donggang Old Pier in Houliao Village, a hidden paradise that seems to plunge into the sea has emerged. This long-abandoned pier differs from other seaside spots due to its winding, snake-like path that stretches into the center of the ocean, sparking endless imagination.

3. Husi Kuibi Mountain – Moses Parting the Sea
The Kuibi Mountain Geopark in Penghu includes Kuibi Mountain and Chi Islet. When the tide recedes, an S-shaped, elongated gravel path emerges, connecting the two landmasses—a classic tombolo landscape where you can walk to Chi Islet during low tide.
