Wushantou Cherry Blossom Snowfall on the Fragrant Esplanade
The Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Area is planted with thousands of flowering trees, including tropical cherry, double-petal cherry, and Kawazu cherry. Walking into the Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Area, you’ll find hundreds of pink double-petal and Kawazu cherry blossoms blooming on the trees in the Cherry Blossom Park. There’s also the famous “Fragrant Esplanade,” lined with nearly a hundred tropical cherry trees over 80 years old, swaying gracefully in the breeze.

Next to the campsite area, there’s also a small forest of cherry blossoms. After being closed to boats for decades, the Wushantou Reservoir has reopened for lake tours, now enhanced with professional guided commentary to give visitors a fresh experience. Aside from admiring the flowers, visitors can also explore the Yasui Katsumi Memorial Park and various scenic spots around the reservoir, immersing themselves in a Japanese-style atmosphere.
Stroll Amid the Fragrance in Madou Pomelo Flower Alley
It’s currently the peak blooming season for the renowned Madou pomelos. In the main growing areas, you can see pomelo blossoms in full bloom — their snow-white, bell-like flowers gently sway in the breeze, releasing a rich fragrance. In a small grove, an orange torii gate stands nearby, while the iconic red building reminiscent of the Zongye Arts and Cultural Center remains beautiful under the blue sky. The wooden buildings of the Zongye Plant Manager’s Residence have also been well preserved, retaining their classic Japanese architectural style.

All offer a taste of spring’s beauty.
