Typhoon Lionrock (No. 3) forms！ Watch out for temperature changes amid cloudy to sunny weather

A tropical depression formed over the sea southwest of Guam at 14:00 on the 25th and was named as a typhoon. This is Typhoon No. 3, Lionrock (international name: JELAWAT), a mild typhoon. Its center is located at 6.50 degrees north latitude and 140.30 degrees east longitude, moving northwest at a speed of 25 km/h.

According to the forecast track, although there is no chance of landfall, coastal areas in the east should watch out for swells. After Lionrock turns northward, travelers planning to visit Japan or Korea in the coming days should continue to monitor the typhoon’s movements.

From March 26 to April 1, the weather will be stable and fine, with cloudy to sunny conditions across Taiwan. Only the eastern half may experience scattered showers from Tuesday to Thursday. Temperatures will range between 18°C and 25°C, with higher maximums further south. The weekend will see clear and fine weather, with temperatures possibly reaching up to 27°C. Temperature fluctuations are significant, so watch out for temperature differences when moving between air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned spaces.
