2018 Sanzhi Cherry Blossom Festival: A Sea of 16,000 Blossoms in Full Bloom

The Sansheng Trail alone boasts over 200 Yoshino cherry trees. When in full bloom, the romantic spring blossoms, paired with the small bridges and flowing streams alongside the trail, create unforgettable scenery for visitors.
In addition to cherry blossom viewing, the festival also features the “Spring Blossoms Deliver Love” event. Participants who collect stamps during the blossom tour have a chance to win a “Sanzhi Limited Edition Cherry Blossom Postcard Set.” Mailing is free of charge on-site (one per person), with a limited quantity of 1,000 sets available.
Other activities such as the “Sakura Love Photography Contest” and the cherry blossom market allow visitors to submit their own works and enjoy local food and shopping at the market, along with a radish-pulling experience.
Sanzhi’s cherry blossom season begins with mountain cherry blossoms, followed by double-layered yaezakura in late February to early March, and ends with the iconic Yoshino cherries — their white petals tinged with hints of crimson — leaving the most beautiful memories of the spring blossom season.
