Available at convenience stores now – Ghost BB.Q Fried Chicken launches in Taiwan with made-to-order service

The popular Korean drama *Goblin*’s BB.Q CHICKEN fried chicken store has officially entered Taiwan. Well-known Taiwanese convenience store chain FamilyMart has announced a collaboration with Korea’s largest fried chicken brand, BB.Q CHICKEN, introducing a new made-to-order hybrid in-store shop. Not only are all ingredients directly imported from Korea, but there’s also a dedicated chef-frying service, so you can enjoy freshly made fried chicken without going far – available right at your convenience store.

This new hybrid in-store shop by FamilyMart will have its first branch, “FamilyMart Ban-Nong Store,” begin trial operations on March 13 next to Exit 1 of Fuzhong Metro Station, with an official opening on March 14. In this collaboration with Korea’s famous fried chicken brand “BB.Q CHICKEN,” meals are freshly prepared by dedicated chefs, and Korea’s signature marinade powder, special sauces, and exclusive frying oil are directly shipped to Taiwan—guaranteeing an authentic taste of classic Korean fried chicken.

Fried chicken is sold daily from 11:00 to 22:00, with a total of eight specialty menu items. Original flavors include Golden Olive Fried Chicken and Chicken Fillet, while seasoned options come in four flavors: Secret Recipe, Spicy, Honey Garlic, and Cheese. Each meal comes with two sides—fries or Korean-style rice cakes—priced between NT$99 and NT$229. For an additional NT$20, you can add a side of refreshing pickled radish to cut through the richness, making it perfect for 1–2 people.

Besides the newly opened FamilyMart Ban-Nong Store, another hybrid fried chicken in-store shop, “FamilyMart Xindian Qingmin Store,” will open on March 16 near Dapinglin Metro Station. More such hybrid fried chicken shops are expected to open in the future, much to the delight of fried chicken lovers. Additionally, to complement Korea’s unique “chicken and beer” culture, customers who purchase fried chicken meals can enjoy a 10% discount on selected alcoholic beverages, adding to the buzz.
