Shaking intensity: Magnitude 5 in Taroko, Hualien; magnitude 4 in Nanao, Yilan; magnitude 2 in Nantou and Taichung; magnitude 1 in Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, and Yunlin. The southern part of Taiwan felt little to no shaking.

The Central Weather Bureau has issued a dense fog advisory regarding weather conditions. From March 3 to 4, areas in western Taiwan as well as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu are prone to localized fog or low clouds that may affect visibility. At 11 PM on March 3, dense fog occurred in Kinmen and Matsu, with visibility below 200 meters. Those active in these areas should exercise extra caution. Air quality in western Taiwan is poor, so it's best to minimize outdoor activities or wear a mask when going out.
