Colorful Shanghai has something new every day — from food, shopping, architecture, nightlife... all kinds of changes are constantly unfolding around you. Known as the "Ten-Li Foreign Concession," Shanghai's Nanjing East Road was the most bustling center of Shanghai during the British Concession era, lined with shopping malls, department stores, and restaurants on both sides. This year, Nanjing East Road welcomes a new trendy fashion landmark: "353 Plaza." Visitors entering here should beware of emptying their wallets!

Shanghai’s new-generation shopping center "353 Plaza" is a meticulously crafted modern retail destination. Now nearly a year after its opening, it is transforming into a trendy fashion hub for the young urban crowd in China’s metropolises. The plaza was formerly a building constructed in the 1930s featuring Art Deco style. The building’s renovation was completed over several years by the renowned architecture firm Woods Bagot, and its elegant Art Deco façade proudly stands along the bustling Nanjing East Road pedestrian street. The interior’s original traditional décor has been transformed into a novel and astonishing space offering a "comprehensive shopping experience."

353 Plaza has a total of 7 floors, each dedicated to a uniquely themed retail area, ingeniously combined with unprecedented architectural elements. These areas captivate the younger generation through media such as music, pop culture, and creativity. Floors 1 to 3 are themed "Fashion Code," gathering multiple internationally leading fashion brands. Floors 4 to 5 are "Trend Code," showcasing original streetwear by local designers, premium lingerie, and concept stores themed around outdoor and large-scale sports. Floors 6 to 7 are "Leisure Code," bringing together stylish restaurants and children’s shops.

The most eye-catching feature in the plaza’s atrium is the fully transparent multifunctional broadcast studio that extends out from the third floor. In this glittering, dynamic space, customers can watch the resident DJ deliver live broadcasts of fashion news and trending music for 353 Plaza’s music channel. Energetic music from different time slots throughout the day resonates across every corner of the plaza. In addition, free Wi-Fi covers every part of the plaza, while interactive websites and the seasonal 353 Plaza magazine "Be U" further enhance communication between the plaza and its visitors.

Aside from shopping venues in areas like Xintiandi, Pudong, and the Bund, the creation of 353 Plaza has restored this historic landmark to its former glory, transforming it into a vibrant new-concept shopping center infused with urban retro charm.
