Macau's 10th Anniversary Celebration, A Grand Festive Gathering WonderfulWorld

Since December 20, 1999, when Macau returned to mainland China, it marked the end of over 400 years of Portuguese rule and left behind many beautiful colonial buildings and cultural heritage. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region. On the morning of December 20, a solemn flag-raising ceremony will be held. In the afternoon, there will be a joyful "Andy Lau Wonderful World Concert & Mass Sports Performance" that brings everyone together, and in the evening, a grand fireworks display has been arranged. Visitors can also visit the Macao Museum of Art and the Macao Handover Gifts Museum of Art to view high-quality exhibitions such as "Return to One" and the "Handover Gifts Exhibition".

On the day of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region, a flag-raising ceremony will be held at the Macau Government Headquarters at 8:00 am. Many citizens and tourists will gather at the Golden Lotus Square to watch the Chinese national flag and the Macau SAR flag being raised, witnessing this important moment for Macau, followed by a series of exciting performances. At 8:30 am, the People's Liberation Army Macau Garrison will also hold a flag-raising ceremony in front of the garrison building, with a spectacular scene that is deeply moving.

On the evening of the 10th anniversary, Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau will hold a highly entertaining audiovisual concert at the Macau Stadium. The entire performance is based on Andy Lau's "Wonderful World World Tour," featuring interactive exchanges with tens of thousands of live audience members and incorporating the spirit of sports into everyday life. Tickets for this spectacular mass sports and arts performance are not assigned seating, so those who wish to attend are advised to arrive early to secure a good spot.
