Get married in a bridal gown while traveling – the sweet start of a honeymoon year on Little Liuqiu

Situated southwest of Donggang in Pingtung, the offshore resort of Little Liuqiu faces Dapeng Bay. Blessed with abundant coral reef resources and distinctive limestone cave formations, it's like a floating ecological park. The stunning seascape has helped elevate Little Liuqiu to one of the popular spots for bridal photography.

The “2010 Happiness & True Love on Little Liuqiu” bridal honeymoon year kicks off sweetly. From now until December 31, 2010, a series of bridal-themed events will be held on Little Liuqiu in Pingtung. The event organizer, Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration, invited Chinese Olympic archer Yuan Shuqi to wear a brand-new bridal gown inspired by the marine and island motifs of Little Liuqiu. They also exclusively unveiled Yuan Shuqi’s beautiful bridal photos taken on the island, attracting couples about to tie the knot and those planning a second honeymoon to come to Little Liuqiu for their bridal photoshoots, creating unforgettable romantic memories.

To coincide with the launch of the “Happiness & True Love on Little Liuqiu” annual event, the organizers have introduced a voting campaign for the “Top Five Hottest Bridal Photography Spots on Little Liuqiu.” The featured spots include Baisha Tourist Harbor, Flowerpot Rock, Shamaji Island Eco-Camping Area, Shanzipigou, and the White Lighthouse. From now until May 11, 2010, the public can vote on the event website and participate in lucky draws.

The organizers have also planned four annual thematic events on Little Liuqiu, including the “Happiness & True Love on Little Liuqiu – Romantic Departure” event on December 19, the “Lohas Cycling, Spinning Happiness and Love” event on March 6, 2010, the “Deep Swim of Love on Little Liuqiu” event on June 5, 2010, and the “Retro Liuqiu Romance – Classic Love” event on November 6, 2010. These initiatives aim to establish Little Liuqiu as a go-to destination in southern Taiwan for bridal shoots and honeymoons, promoting themed tourism and boosting the island’s diverse tourism-driven economy.

The Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Administration has specifically recommended multiple picturesque spots ideal for bridal photography, including viewing the island’s treasure at Flowerpot Rock, strolling on white sands at Ganban Bay Beach, taking a submarine ride to marvel at underwater beauty, hiking trails to experience a taste of the tropics, admiring ships and skirt reefs from the White Lighthouse, exploring the maze-like Wugui Cave, appreciating the rugged rocks in Shanzipigou, and chasing waves on Zhong’ao Beach. These offer visitors a chance to create beautiful and romantic memories.
