The “Pure Malt Sunshine Exploration” itinerary included with the hotel package offers a NT$250 dining voucher for Brother Coffee and a visit to the King Car Whisky Distillery on the outskirts of Yilan. Visitors can witness the whisky-making process firsthand, stroll around the distillery grounds, and then head to the Brother Coffee Yushan Branch located on the second floor of the distillery. Enjoy a favorite drink with afternoon tea, surrounded by the aroma of coffee and the green fields nearby. The “Tiny World, Big Ecology” itinerary includes a visit to an aquatic plant museum and a DIY eco-bottle workshop at Shengyang Leisure Farm, Taiwan’s largest aquatic plant cultivation museum. Although the pond behind the aquatic plant museum is not ideal for clamming or fishing in winter, it teems with migratory birds—making it a perfect spot for birdwatching. The DIY eco-bottle activity involves creating a miniature world inside a small bottle by placing algae, digestive fluid, small shrimp, and fine sand together. Thanks to photosynthesis from the algae releasing oxygen, the shrimp can coexist with the oxygen, algae, and microorganisms, creating a miraculous display of life. Exploring the natural mysteries within this tiny bottle and creating your own winter vacation homework is a fantastic experience.
