Admire lanterns and flowers during the Lantern Festival with this brand-new dog-themed floral carpet that’s super eye-catching

To celebrate the Year of the Dog and the Lantern Festival, the High Ground Engineering Office of New Taipei City Government planted about 60,000 flowering plants around the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park and on the grassy slope near Airport MRT A2 Sanchong Station, designing a series of dog-related themed floral carpets. The designs are lively, cute, and vivid, and complement the ongoing “2018 New Taipei City Prosperity and Blessings Lantern Festival.” This allows visitors to enjoy the flowers by day and the lanterns by night, transforming the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park into a magnificent large-scale amusement park.

With around 60,000 blooming flowers in full display, the night lantern displays become even more dazzling, making it a great destination for spring outings.
This time, the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park specially arranged flowering plants to form the shape of “20I8,” where the “I” is replaced with a dog bone design. It is woven together with seven types of flowering plants: salvia, lavender, pansies, cosmos, marguerites, gaillardia, and gazania, creating a highly distinctive look.

On the grassy slope near Airport MRT A2 Sanchong Station, four types of flowering plants—marguerites, salvia, begonias, and cosmos—are used to weave a dog pattern, bringing a festive and joyful atmosphere. The surrounding area also features dog-related elements, including dog paw prints painted with pansies and cute dog bone shapes decorated with petunias. These designs are clearer and more visible from a distance, and are loved by both children and adults.
The design of this floral carpet uses a variety of flowers, including marguerites, salvia, begonias, and cosmos, arranged and woven into cute dog patterns that are very eye-catching.
The surrounding area also features many dog-related elements designed with flowering plants, including dog paw prints and themed dog bones, which are even clearer when viewed from afar.
