Helicopter transfer service – the ultimate experience at Tokyo Narita Airport

Tokyo, with its diverse offerings, is the top choice for many travelers visiting Japan, especially first-timers. But Japan’s complex transportation network puts foreign tourists’ skills to the test right from the airport. Typically, to get into the city, you can take the Limousine Bus, trains (JR, Keisei Electric Railway), or go for a more premium option like a taxi or private car. This year, American Airlines (AA) launched a helicopter transfer service for business class passengers from Narita Airport to central Tokyo, becoming the third airline to offer such a service, after All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Lufthansa of Germany. ANA and Lufthansa initially limited this service to first class passengers only, while American Airlines makes it available for free to business class passengers as well.

In addition to passengers of these three airlines, the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo’s Kamiyacho district also offers a paid helicopter transfer service for its guests, which can be booked directly at the hotel counter. If you find this transfer experience still not thrilling enough, head further southwest to Yokohama for a helicopter flight over the Yokohama Harbor. Sitting in a helicopter flying at an altitude of 600 meters, you’ll soar over the Bay Bridge, Minato Mirai 21... The breathtaking aerial views are truly unforgettable.
