Central Taiwan’s Pulizhen is a small town full of unique charm, offering art and culture, fine wine and delicious food, historical sites, traditional handmade papermaking, and renowned local brews that enchant visitors with its scenic beauty. Want to enjoy a relaxing, flexible, and easy trip to this charming town? Starting now, Nantou Bus has launched two newly painted “Pulizhen Town Loop Sightseeing Buses.” For just 80 RMB, you can explore all the must-visit attractions and famous industries within Pulizhen!

The “Pulizhen Town Loop Sightseeing Bus” will be integrated with the upcoming “Sun Moon Lake–Toucheng–Checheng Free Tourist Shuttle Bus,” as well as the existing “Sun Moon Lake Lakeside Bus” and the “Taichung–Taichung HSR Station–Pulizhen–Sun Moon Lake” Express Shuttle Bus. The service area covers three townships: Pulizhen, Yuchi, and Shuili, forming a seamless public transportation network across the Greater Sun Moon Lake region. This allows both domestic and international tourists visiting Sun Moon Lake, Pulizhen, Checheng, and other nearby attractions to travel conveniently via public transport, boosting tourism development throughout the entire Greater Sun Moon Lake area.

Among them, the “Taichung–Taichung HSR Station–Pulizhen–Sun Moon Lake” Express Shuttle Bus operates approximately every 15 minutes, picking up passengers from Taichung Railway Station and the HSR station across the country and transporting them via National Highway 6 to Pulizhen Station and Sun Moon Lake Station. The “Sun Moon Lake Lakeside Bus” runs about once every 30 minutes, allowing visitors arriving at Sun Moon Lake to easily transfer to various lakeside attractions, dining, accommodation, and shopping areas. Now, travelers can also take advantage of the “Pulizhen Town Loop Sightseeing Bus” to conveniently explore various sights in Pulizhen. The sightseeing bus operates on two routes—blue and green—with one bus departing on the hour from 08:00 to 17:00 each day. The blue line stops at Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Pulizhen Flower Center, Pulizhen Winery, Pulizhen West Station, Nantou Bus Transfer Station, Geographic Center Monument, and Liyu Lake. The green line stops at Taomi Pit Ecological Park, National Chi Nan University, Mushi Insect Museum, Guangxing Paper Factory, Pulizhen Winery, Pulizhen West Station, Nantou Bus Transfer Station, Paper Dragon, and Earth Mother Temple.

To encourage more visitors to take the bus, anyone who purchases a one-day pass for either the “Sun Moon Lake Lakeside Bus” or the “Pulizhen Town Loop Sightseeing Bus” can enjoy unlimited rides on both services on the same day. Additionally, to benefit sightseeing bus passengers, special partnerships with local characteristic tourism industries have been formed. Starting April 1, holders of the one-day pass can enjoy discounts on admission or products at stops along the sightseeing bus route, including Guangxing Paper Workshop, Paper Dragon, Mushi Insect Museum, Paper Chapel, Flower Center, 18°C Chocolate Workshop, Hongji Bee Eco-Farm, and select hotels.
