To promote the high-quality hot springs within Hsinchu County, the County Government’s Department of Transportation and Tourism specially heldthe “2017 Hsinchu County Gourmet Tourism & Hot Spring Festival”press conference, officially launching the event. Throughout the two-month event period from December 28 to February 17, there are merchant discounts with the lowest being up to 34% off, as well as exciting lucky draw prizes totaling 70,000 NT. Everyone is welcome to come to Hsinchu County to experience the “Hot Spring Feast & Explore Hsinchu,” enjoying delicious food, beautiful scenery, and great hot springs.

During the event period, the Golden Screen Beauty Spring House offers a 10% discount on hot spring soaks and accommodation, Riverside Hot Spring Homestay provides a weekday package for just 999 NT including a double hot spring room and hot spring ramen, Venice Inner Bay Hot Spring Resort offers an extra 30 minutes of soaking time on weekdays, Asahi Hot Spring Resort provides a 34% discount on outdoor hot springs on weekdays and a 499 NT combo deal of gourmet meal plus outdoor hot springs. The Neiwan Commercial District and local specialty snacks in Jianshi offer “buy 10 get 1 free,” as well as complimentary offerings like bamboo tube rice and ground tea upon visiting, with a total of 22 businesses participating. Customers just need to present a paper or digital passport during the period from December 28 to February 17 to enjoy discounts on hot springs, food, and more.

Aside from promotional offers, one of the biggest hassles when traveling is planning your itinerary.To help with this, the organizers have thoughtfully arranged recommended routes that showcase Hsinchu County’s specialties, such as family education, cultural experiences, art and scenic tours, and countryside strolls. Additionally, along Provincial Highway 3, there are land art installations such as the Camellia Seed Tea House, Seed Planet, and “Beside” created by bamboo weaving artist Fan Chengzong with community participation.When visiting Neiwan or Jianshi for hot springs, you can also consider adding these side trips to enjoy land art, local features, and scenic landscapes.
