The cherry blossom tunnel resembles a dreamy fairy-tale valley — a hot spot for enjoying stunning blooms.

Located in Nantou, the National Taiwan University Experimental Forest is a popular destination for flower viewing, especially in spring when the vibrant blossoms attract many visitors. The 2018 Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival at the NTU Experimental Forest has kicked off, with over 300 pink Kawazu cherry trees in full bloom at the Phoenix Nature Education Area. Strolling along the beautiful cherry blossom tunnel feels like visiting a romantic overseas attraction.

Covering nearly 20 hectares, the Phoenix Nature Education Area is planted with hundreds of tea plants and Kawazu cherry trees. When cherry blossom season arrives, the pink floral sea complements the camellias, creating a breathtaking view. The 333-step stone staircase is lined with cherry trees on both sides, forming a romantic cherry blossom tunnel that draws many visitors for sightseeing and photography.

In addition to visiting the NTU Experimental Forest for cherry blossoms, the annual "Feast of Spring" event held around March is also one of the year’s major flower-viewing highlights. This year’s event takes place from March 16 to April 1. The park’s trail stretches approximately 1.6 kilometers, and during the event, guided tours are offered every 10 to 20 minutes between 8:50 AM and 3:20 PM at the "Temperate Flower Zone" and the "Vegetable Garden Treasure Hunt."
