Every year during the May tung blossom season, tung blossoms can be found throughout Hakka villages in Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Nantou, and Changhua. Miaoli’s mountainous landscape is adorned with verdant trees and patches of white blooms, and it also hosts the main event site for the Executive Yuan’s Hakka Affairs Council Tung Blossom Festival.
