Explore the homeland and learn English—summer fun in Guam

A series of exciting activities hosted by the Guam Visitors Bureau this summer is about to kick off. In May, the Guam Tourism Month begins first, inviting travelers to enjoy the Homeland Carnival and various travel promotions; in late June, the annual Guam Triathlon Championship will take place, welcoming athletes of all levels to participate; during the summer break, there will also be a colorful children’s English summer camp, making every travel itinerary fun and engaging.

During this year’s “Guam Tourism Month,” visitors can experience an authentic taste of Guam through a traditional Chamorro island carnival tour. Local hotels and restaurants are also offering various promotional services, welcoming travelers to visit Guam. On May 2 and May 16, visitors can take the Guam streetcar to Inarajan Village and Malojloj Village to join the carnival celebrations.

June in Guam offers sports enthusiasts a chance to show their skills. The triathlon competition scheduled for June 26 is an international-standard event covering a total distance of 51.1 kilometers, divided into swimming, cycling, and marathon segments. Taiwanese athletes are welcome to sign up, sweat it out in the competition, and enjoy Guam’s delicious food and beautiful scenery.

Additionally, the “2010 Guam PIC English Summer Camp,” organized by Guam PIC and co-hosted by Pacific Island International Travel Agency, is entering its 7th edition this summer. The English summer camp combines leisure, fitness, vacation, and learning in a rich and diverse program. It’s the perfect choice for kids to take a break from a semester of academic focus and entrance exam pressure, unwind, and recharge for the future.

Located at the southernmost part of the Mariana Islands, Guam boasts exotic beaches, lush tropical forests, and vibrant flowers that bloom year-round. Visitors to Guam can enjoy a variety of activities, including water sports such as diving, snorkeling, and whale watching, exploring Chamorro culture, playing golf, and shopping at American-style malls and duty-free luxury stores. This year’s island carnival tour, triathlon competition, and English summer camp offer new and unique ways to experience Guam.
