Paddle your way to glory at the Northeast Coast Canoe Cross Country International Challenge!

With the growing popularity of outdoor activities, canoeing has steadily risen in trend. Under the guidance of the Northeast Coast & Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration, the Republic of China Recreational Canoe Association and the Taiwan Outward Bound Educational Foundation jointly organize the “2010 Northeast Coast Canoe Cross Country International Challenge.” Set against the backdrop of the Shuangxi River and Pacific waters in the Northeast Coast, the event offers three competition categories—Recreational, Open, and Elite—for participants to choose from and register.

Beginners with limited canoeing experience can sign up for the Recreational group to safely enjoy the thrill of competition on the winding, dynamic waters of the Shuangxi River. Those with prior ocean canoeing experience may opt for the Open or Elite groups based on their fitness and skill level, not only pushing their physical limits but also experiencing the raw power of the Pacific’s waves.
