Savor the authentic taste of Thai spicy and sour shrimp soup under a mango tree

Mango Tree is part of COCA, a Thai hot pot chain, with branches in Tokyo and London. The Bangkok Mango Tree restaurant is housed in a nearly 100-year-old residence from the Rama V era, and takes its name from a nearly 60-year-old mango tree in the garden. The napkins on the tables, adorned with dried chili peppers, clearly declare: this is a restaurant serving genuine Thai cuisine. Therefore, the must-try dish at Mango Tree is the national soup, Tom Yam Khun. Restaurant manager Mathiya Kongintr says that while the broth may be similar across different restaurants, the key is that the ingredients must be fresh — only then will the soup truly shine.
