Kobe Shuttle Bus Tour: Explore Japan’s Three Ancient Hot Springs for Just ¥500
The romantic port city of Kobe, Japan, boasts famous attractions such as the exotic Kitano Ijinkan (Foreigners' Houses), the Foreign Settlement, and the distinctly Chinese-flavored Nankinmachi. In early July this year, the newly opened Mitsui Outlet Park Kobe Mitsui in Sanda became the largest outlet mall in the Kansai region, adding yet another shopping destination to Kobe.

To attract summer tourists, Kobe Mitsui Outlet Park in Sanda, together with Kobe’s iconic Okamoto Shopping Street and Arima Onsen—one of Japan’s Three Ancient Hot Springs—has launched travel discounts and shuttle bus services. From now until August 31, a flat-rate shuttle bus connecting these three locations will be available, along with various shopping and accommodation offers.
The Kobe Flat-Rate Shuttle Bus route includes: Okamoto Shopping Street, Arima Onsen, and Kobe Mitsui Outlet Park in Sanda. The fare is ¥500 for both adults and children. Tickets must be purchased and reserved one day in advance through Sanyo Air Service Co., Ltd. and the Arima Onsen Tourist Information Office. Tickets are not sold or reserved on-site at Kobe Mitsui Outlet Park in Sanda. Purchasing a bus ticket also comes with coupons for shops in Okamoto Shopping Street, usage discounts for Arima Onsen facilities, and coupons for shops in Kobe Mitsui Outlet Park in Sanda (note that certain minimum spending requirements may apply).

Arima Onsen is one of Japan’s oldest hot spring resorts, mentioned in the Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan). Renowned as one of Japan’s Three Famous Hot Springs, it has attracted visitors for centuries and remains beloved by both Japanese locals and tourists. Located just a 30-minute drive from central Kobe, it's the perfect summer getaway to explore via the shuttle bus this season.
