During the hot summer months, fruits are the best way to beat the heat. Summer fruits such as longan, grapes, sugar apple, dragon fruit, and Irwin mangoes—each in season—are all introduced on the website. Visitors can also process them into various fruit ices for a refreshing treat.

The website’s “Orchard Information” section lists details of over 150 orchards and farms across Taiwan. For example: In the north, Qingxiang Farm in Neihu, Taipei, offers small tomatoes for picking year-round, making it a great leisure spot for urban dwellers; Huifen Orchard in Daxi, Taoyuan, grows mini watermelons, which are even smaller than dodgeballs—unique and novel; in the central region, you can pick seasonal jujubes. Miaoli’s Gongguan is Taiwan’s only jujube-growing area, where several orchards within the Golden Town Leisure Agriculture Area—including Longchang Jujube Leisure Farm, Bohai Jujube Garden, and Fangge Jujube Garden—offer jujube-picking experiences. In the south, during the longan harvest season, visitors can go to the Longmen Lychee Sightseeing Orchard in Neimen, Kaohsiung. At Shoufeng’s Niushan Huting Leisure Area in Hualien, it’s currently passion fruit season—the fruits are large, sweet, and delicious.
