Mountain Delicacies VS. Seafood Delights！A Grand Culinary Showcase of Siraya and Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan Flavors
The beloved 2010 Taiwan Gourmet Food Exhibition will take place from August 27 to August 30 at the World Trade Center. But which will steal the show—mountain delicacies or seafood delights? The organizers have unveiled a selection of dishes rich in local character to kick off the food exhibition, giving the public a taste of the finest handpicked cuisines that best represent Taiwan.

The “Mountain Delicacies – Siraya Pavilion VS. Seafood – Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan Pavilion” launch featured a total of 22 participating vendors, who creatively utilized unique regional ingredients from the two scenic areas to develop distinctive “mountain and sea treasures.” After intensive training and mutual exchange, every aspect—from plating and presentation to texture and flavor—was meticulously refined to deliver the best possible results.

This year’s gourmet exhibition is jointly organized by the Siraya and Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan Coastal Scenic Areas in collaboration with the Chinese Gourmet Food Exchange Association. Over the four-day event, four types of Siraya regional offerings will be showcased: health and leisure cuisine, fresh fish recreation dishes, fruit-flavored creations, and pastoral dishes, along with four types from the Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan region: harbor seafood flavors, salt-kosher cuisine, light healthy meals, and seafood snacks. With an abundance of selections, Taiwanese cuisine will be promoted on the international stage, and the public is invited to come and savor it all.
