Castle container houses are driving people crazy！Taichung’s three giant gashapon machines

Recently popular giant gashapon machines can be found all over Taiwan, and Taichung also has three large gashapon machines: the Castle Gashapon Machine at Dayeh Takashimaya New Life Square, the Uno or Huiwu House Gashapon Machine, and the Explorer Rocket Gashapon Machine at Grass Jelly Plaza. Each one is a popular spot for photos, so visitors might want to try their luck during holidays.

1. Dream Castle Gashapon Machine
The Castle Gashapon Machine is located in the first-floor plaza of Dayeh Takashimaya New Life Square. The large pink and dreamy castle is filled with gashapon balls, attracting many tourists to try their luck and take photos. In addition, the mall is a multipurpose space where you can enjoy food, shopping, as well as facilities like a bowling alley, basketball court, and amusement park.

2. UNOContainer House Gashapon Machine
Taichung has recently built a brand-new “UNO Container Market,” located next to the Taichung Big City department store, with over 30 vendors including food stalls, creative crafts, installation art, and more. There's also a container house gashapon machine aiming to challenge Taiwan’s largest-scale container market.

3. Explorer Giant Gashapon Machine

Taichung’s Grass Jelly Plaza also features the “Explorer Giant Gashapon Machine,” which resembles a rocket about to take off, attracting many tourists to take photos. The gashapon ball costs 200 NT per piece, and they have created the largest diameter gashapon ball in Taiwan, measuring 20 cm.
