Hakka culture: 2010 Neiwan Wild Ginger Flower & Hakka Cuisine Festival
The "2010 Neiwan Wild Ginger Flower & Hakka Cuisine Festival – Hakka Culture" will take place at the square in front of Neiwan Railway Station, inviting the public to come together on October 9th to enjoy Hakka cuisine and immerse themselves in a rich cultural ambiance.

In recent years, the Neiwan Image Business District has gained increasing recognition. The “Wild Ginger Flower & Hakka Cuisine Festival” combines authentic Hakka snacks and delicious dishes from Neiwan with the rich fragrance of wild ginger flowers. Through Hakka cuisine and specialty products inspired by wild ginger flowers, the event enhances the image of the Neiwan business district and showcases its unique charm. In addition to lion dance troupes and street performances, the festival also features a variety of interactive activities related to Neiwan Old Street and wild ginger flowers. The “Neiwan Cuisine – One Dollar Tasting” allows visitors to sample local dishes for just one dollar.

Additionally, this year’s event includes the “Wild Ginger Flower Fairy Costume Contest.” Any kindergarten child who designs an outfit themed around wild ginger flowers and incorporates Hakka elements can sign up to participate. Parents and children are encouraged to join in adding color to the event. The registration deadline is October 6th, and the first-place winner will receive a cash prize of NT$5,000.
