The hottest topic in Japanese travel lately has been the Tokyo Haneda–Taipei Songshan direct flights. Starting October 31, Japan Airlines will operate two daily flights, taking you directly from Taipei Songshan Airport to central Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, making your trip to Tokyo more convenient and time-saving. To celebrate the launch, a special “Online Booking Credit Card Cashback” promotion is being offered. During the campaign period, use the Shin Kong Bank Japan Airlines co-branded card to book any flight on the route and receive a NT$1,000 cashback reward.

Additionally, for passengers transferring to Japan Airlines domestic flights to other parts of Japan, Japan Airlines has arranged for baggage claim and customs clearance at Haneda Airport, after which you can check in for your domestic flight at the transfer counter within the same terminal. Then, take the complimentary shuttle bus specially arranged for Japan Airlines passengers and easily head to the Domestic Terminal 1 for your next flight.

The “Online Booking Credit Card Cashback” promotion runs from October 10 to November 31, 2010. Within this period, use the Japan Airlines Taiwan website and book your ticket with the Shin Kong Bank Japan Airlines co-branded card to receive a NT$1,000 cashback reward (maximum NT$2,000 per card).

Taking the popular 10-day validity S-class fare currently offered by Japan Airlines as an example, ticket prices to Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya are all NT$9,500 (before tax). If purchased through the Japan Airlines website using the Shin Kong Bank Japan Airlines co-branded card, you’ll also get an additional NT$1,000 cashback. Those planning to travel abroad soon should seize this opportunity.
