The history of koalas in Victoria is unclear. To prevent these animals from dying unnecessarily, locals and scholars established the 60-hectare Koala Conservation Centre. It not only provides koalas with ample food and a safe habitat, but also allows visitors to observe them up close along specially designed walking trails.
