Get married in Alishan, newlyweds!
To celebrate the arrival of the centennial year of the Republic of China and reflect on the 99th year, what moments will be remembered for years to come? To provide couples with an unforgettable wedding experience, Chiayi County Government, Chiayi Forest District Office, and Alishan National Scenic Area Administration co-hosted the “Alishan 2010 Sacred Tree Wedding,” providing 20 couples with the opportunity to have a romantic and heartwarming wedding for free under the sacred trees in Alishan in early November.

The event will romantically unfold over two days and one night on November 4 and 5. Simply submit to the organizers your “reasons for wanting to get married in Alishan” (50–100 words) for a chance to participate—all expenses covered. Chiayi and Alishan have long been popular domestic travel destinations, where you can experience sunrises, take scenic railway rides through the mountains, admire the sacred trees shaped by nature, and explore the nostalgic charm of Fenchihu’s historic sites. Come to Alishan and experience what it means to live “slowly and serenely.”
To promote honeymoon travel in Alishan, the organizers, together with travel agencies, have recommended nine must-see scenic spots in Alishan. Visitors can collect event stamps at these photo spots, and with three stamps, they can get a free “Alishan Scenic Spot Sticker Photo” at the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration Visitor Center.
The Forestry Bureau’s Fenchihu Depot exudes a strong sense of nostalgia.
Zeng Hanzhou, Director of Alishan National Scenic Area Administration, said that the Greater Alishan area is filled with romantic spots, making it an ideal choice for couple photo shoots.
