As the Taipei International Flora Exposition unfolds, the “Jinghua Commercial District,” also situated on Zhongshan North Road and sharing the same location as the main venue, will launch the one-and-a-half-month-long “European Flora Expo” Fashion Carnival starting November 18th. The event will be centered around the fashion plaza in front of the Taipei Jinghua Hotel and will incorporate nearby international luxury boutiques and five-star hotels. The carnival officially begins at 7:00 PM on November 18th.

The lighting ceremony for the fashion and art fusion event, the “European Flora Expo,” invited Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-pin, President of Jinghua International Hotels Group Pan Siliang, CEO of Jinghua International Hotels Group Michelle Hsueh, Deputy Convener of Taipei City Economic Development Committee Lien Sheng-wen, Chairman of the Taipei European Business Association Wayne Wittman, Associate Marketing Director of American Express Taiwan Eric Chang, Business Manager of Thai Airways Shen Xinshan, Executive Director of INDECO Tang Muling, General Manager of INDECO Du Huangxu, and Director Li Gang from Lei Gong Films. Together, they illuminated the outdoor glass water curtain gift box — the largest of its kind — located right in the center of the fashion plaza.
The focal point of the “European Flora Expo” Fashion Carnival is the massive maze garden situated in the fashion plaza (right in front of the Taipei Jinghua Hotel on Zhongshan No. 4 Square). With green hedges standing 135 cm tall twisting and turning across the plaza, the maze uses over 40,000 creeping fig plants (an evergreen vine species). At the center of the maze stands a 2.5x2.5 meter cubic glass water curtain gift box. During the day, it radiates vibrant energy, while at night, 3,000 LED lights inside the glass box transform into warm, luxurious glows, creating another iconic scenic spot along Zhongshan North Road. Throughout November, flower expo introduction videos will be played every hour on the hour, helping citizens and tourists learn more about the expo’s highlights.
Meanwhile, the “tallest indoor Christmas tree in Taiwan,” located in the atrium of the Taipei Jinghua Hotel, stands an impressive 42 feet tall (approximately 14.6 meters) and spans three floors. This year, in addition to the tree lighting, 16 large LED decorative lights have been hung in the atrium. You can see snowflakes, reindeer, and Santa Claus flying through the air, creating a warm and festive atmosphere at its peak.

This “European Flora Expo” Fashion Carnival has specially produced a “Fashion Map.” In addition to detailing the locations of various luxury brand stores on Section 2 of Zhongshan North Road, it also features extensive introductions to the aforementioned floral luxury items. It's not only highly practical but also a great collector’s item. Customers visiting the Jinghua Hotel and nearby luxury stores can also participate in a lucky draw for exciting prizes, including a BMW off-road mountain bike, round-trip tickets from Taipei to Paris on Thai Airways, stays at luxury European Regent hotels, and shopping vouchers worth tens of thousands of dollars at Regent boutiques. Meanwhile, the Taipei Jinghua Hotel, located at the heart of the “Jinghua Commercial District,” is also rolling out special floral expo room rates and European gourmet feasts featuring cuisines from five countries, aiming to attract both domestic and international travelers to join in celebrating the international floral exposition.
