After a 14-year hiatus, the first batch of Japanese beef exported to Taiwan comes from Miyazaki Prefecture’s Miyazaki cattle. It is expected to arrive in Taiwan on September 28, with other batches of wagyu to follow. Foodies need not worry about missing out — five hotel and F&B operators have already launched imported Japanese wagyu recently, and it will be available from late September to early October.
Regent Taipei
Regent Taipei has secured Miyazaki beef, which has won the “Japan Wagyu Contest” for beef cattle three years in a row. The hotel offers cuts including ribeye, sirloin, chuck flap, brisket, outside flat, and rump, which will be used in various wagyu dishes across its restaurants. Sales are expected to begin as early as the end of September. Restaurants serving wagyu at Regent Taipei include Sanshokubonke (Basement 3), Robin’s Steakhouse (2F), teppanyaki, azie (1F), Regent Taipei Chinese Restaurant (3F), and Lanting at the Regent International Club (21F), which will launch the “Japan Domination – Miyazaki Wagyu Banquet,” featuring a total of 13 premium wagyu dishes.
Regent Park Hotel
Regent Park Hotel in Tainan has partnered exclusively with “Teishin Livestock Co., Ltd.” from Kobe, Japan, to supply high-quality Japanese wagyu beef directly from the source, serving it fresh. In the near future, diners can enjoy Japanese wagyu at ROBIN’S Steakhouse’s teppanyaki and Chinese restaurant Lanting at Regent Park Hotel in Tainan.

Sheraton Taipei
The Taoshan and Andong rooms at Sheraton Taipei are set to launch an “Ultimate Wagyu Gastronomic Banquet,” featuring top-grade Miyazaki A5 wagyu. The menu includes a variety of premium wagyu dishes and set meals such as shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, sashimi, and nigiri sushi.
Taipei Le Xuan Wagyu Specialty Store
Known for its premium wagyu yakiniku, Taipei Le Xuan Wagyu Specialty Store is expected to start selling Japanese wagyu on October 1. This shipment of Miyazaki beef (A4–A5 grade) includes cuts such as sirloin, New York strip, tenderloin, chuck roll, short rib, and pork. The first offering will be a “Miyazaki Beef Half Head” duo set, replacing three of the six premium sections in the original Australian 9+ wagyu “Dream Beef Head Set” with three Japanese wagyu cuts. Even before the Japanese wagyu goes on sale, many customers have visited the store to inquire. The first batch is expected to sell out over the weekend.
Banban Group
The first batch of Japanese beef exported to Taiwan comes from Miyazaki Prefecture’s Miyazaki cattle, expected to arrive in Taiwan on September 28. This batch of Miyazaki beef is being introduced by the Banban Group. In addition to supplying other F&B operators, the group will also make the beef available at its own restaurants as soon as possible. The brands expected to offer Miyazaki beef are Laobanban and Black Hair House, with an estimated launch time in early October.
