The legendary Lishan Hotel makes a glorious comeback, offering fun from Lishan to a century of memories.

Both the "Lishan Hotel" and nearby scenic areas were once the summer retreats of President Chiang every year, and were ranked alongside Taipei’s Grand Hotel and Kaohsiung’s Grand Hotel as the three grandest palace-style buildings in Taiwan. In March 2011, the "Lishan Hotel" will become Taiwan’s first Chiang Kai-shek-era guesthouse to be outsourced to private management. To revitalize Lishan’s tourism industry, the Tourism Bureau launched the "2010 Winter Love Lishan – Lishan Resounds 100" campaign from December 18, 2009, to January 16, 2010. It introduced "Taiwan’s Three Heights" plus "Feast 100," "Eat 100," and "Fun 100," six exciting ways to play, heralding the imminent grand return of the "Lishan Hotel"!

The "2010 Winter Love Lishan – Lishan Resounds 100" series kicks off with the "Christmas Gift" event hosted by the Taichung City Government, where delivery drivers, pretty girls, and postmen dressed as Santa Claus load up 100 gifts in Taichung and head to Lishan. This is followed by the opening ceremony of "Resounding Lishan." At 5:30 PM on December 24, the highest-altitude Christmas tree in Taiwan (2,000 meters) is lit up on Christmas Eve. Then at 5:30 PM on December 25, local Atayal people are called upon to hold candlelight singing of Christmas carols, parading through downtown Lishan to various hotels to distribute small gifts to tourists. On the morning of the 26th at 10 AM, there's also an authentic "Lishan Welcome Song" performance.

The highlight takes place on New Year’s Eve, December 31, with the "Highest in Taiwan – Soar 100 New Year’s Eve Party," offering 100 prizes to be drawn and given to lucky visitors. After partying into the early morning, at 6 AM on January 1, 2010, the "Highest Sunrise Welcoming in Taiwan" event is held at "Fushoushan Farm Tianchi" (at an altitude of 2,580 meters). Additionally, on January 15, 2011, at 3 PM, the "Lishan Resounds 100 Concert" is planned, featuring the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra performing in front of the "Lishan Hotel," creating a spectacular musical extravaganza.

In conjunction with the event, special "Lishan Three Feasts" discounts are also offered. Fifty newlyweds within 100 days of marriage (registered after September 23, 2009), one hundred New Year’s Day celebrants, and one hundred people with the last three digits of their ID number as 100 can enjoy the "Feast 100" (free admission to Fushoushan and Wuling Farms), "Eat 100" (a free plate of cabbage cuisine), and "Fun 100" (free entry to a lottery draw) triple benefits when visiting the "Lishan area" from December 31 to January 2. Additionally, free shuttle bus tours titled "Great Lishan Ecological Tour Guide" are arranged on December 25 and 26, 2009, and January 1 and 2, 2010 (limited to 40 people per session), taking participants through the Dajia Reservoir and Wuling Farm Forest Recreation Area (admission fees apply).
