“Nishimeji chestnuts” are among the largest chestnuts in Japan, grown in the Kakunodate area of Akita Prefecture in northeastern Japan. The peak season is from September to December each year. During this period, a large-scale Nishimeji chestnut event is held, with various shops participating and launching highly popular desserts and seasonal limited-edition products, allowing visitors to savor the taste of these extra-large chestnuts.

Petits Fraises (プチフレ0?憨 is a popular local cake shop. The first floor offers a variety of cakes, handmade cookies, éclairs, chocolates, and other sweets and souvenirs, while the second-floor seating area serves coffee and light meals. The shop’s popular items, such as chestnut éclairs and Mont Blanc cakes, often sell out quickly. Limited-edition items are also released during special holidays.
