The Enchanting Surprises of the Mekong – 2011 Thailand Travel Mart - HowToTrip

Thailand’s reputation for fun and shopping is well known, and its annual, nationwide, largest-scale travel mart attracts 400 booths from various countries to participate. This event fosters exchanges that help further develop international tourism and also promotes Thailand’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

The Thailand Tourism Authority (TAT) and Thai tourism industry partners have been organizing the travel mart for 10 years. Its primary goal is to promote tourism and service industries in Thailand and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). Key target markets include Europe, Southeast Asia, East Asia, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as other developing regions such as the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South America, and South Africa.

The 2011 Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+ 2011) will be held from June 8–10 at Hall 102 of the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Thong Thani. The event will feature 10 major business categories, including hotels and accommodations, travel agencies and tour operators, eco & adventure tourism, wellness spas, airlines, leisure entertainment/theme parks/cultural merchandise, golf courses, associations, other tourism services, and the Greater Mekong Subregion/National Tourism Organizations (NTOs).
