Just imagine how wonderful it would be to have classes surrounded by such beautiful tea fields. Zhanghu Elementary and Junior High School is Taiwan’s first ecological elementary and junior high school and a key development project for Yunlin County. Known for its tea, the area has further developed organic tea cultivation in conjunction with the establishment of this eco-friendly school.The vibrant, colorful school buildings, surrounded by mountains and tea fields, resemble the shape of a treasure island when seen from an aerial view.

After being severely damaged by Typhoon Morakot, Zhanghu Elementary and Junior High School was rebuilt with an investment of two hundred million New Taiwan Dollars, unexpectedly becoming the most beautiful deep-mountain elementary school. From the high mountains, you can enjoy panoramic views of Chiayi, Nantou, and Yunlin. The school is divided into three zones based on the terrain: the teaching and administrative area, the eco-humanities treehouse lecture hall, and the forest area, encouraging students to learn independently and use nature as their classroom. It not only provides students with a comfortable learning environment but also captivates every visitor with its stunning natural beauty.
