Now in its fourth edition, "Megaport" once again invites the hardest-hitting indie bands from both home and abroad to perform, set to take place on March 5th and 6th, 2011 at Kaohsiung’s Pier-2 Art Center...

Known as the warm-up to the "Spring Scream," the "Megaport" music festival is set to ignite the passion of southern Taiwan’s crowds. Entering its fourth year, "Megaport" once again invites top indie bands from around the world to take the stage. Happening from March 5th to 6th, 2011, at Kaohsiung’s Pier-2, it will deliver the fun, sweet, and explosive energy of "Fun, Sweet, Bang" rock to every music lover and fan of southern Taiwan!

The high-energy "Megaport" is organized by Tha WALL Music, which has hosted various domestic and international rock events. Its biggest highlight is the focus on southern Taiwan-based indie bands—those formed or rising from the region. Alongside well-known indie acts such as 1976, Tizzy Bac, MOJO, Xiao Wang Fu, Bear Baby, Cheng Cao, Strawberry Comet, and Transparent Magazine, this year also sees the appearance of Taiwan’s leading electro diva — Jolin Tsai, adding an exciting fresh twist that’s sure to rock southern Taiwan!

Aside from joining the music festival, visitors can also enjoy a short weekend trip to Kaohsiung.

This year’s "Megaport" has also invited cutting-edge post-rock band "65daysofstatic" back to Taiwan, along with Japan’s Black Cat Chelsea and Furs, plus heavyweight visual bands MUCC and jealkb—sure to drive indie music fans wild with anticipation.
