For travelers on self-guided trips, the airport express is the most convenient and essential mode of transport. Since January this year, Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport has begun offering check-in counters and luggage delivery services. The route between the Bangkok Makkasan Station Terminal (BCAT) in the Makkasan area and Suvarnabhumi Airport takes 15 minutes round trip, with each fare at 150 Thai baht.

The Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link operates daily from 6:00 AM to midnight. Travelers can choose to purchase a prepaid SmartPass stored-value card or buy a single-journey ticket directly from the ticket vending machine. Luggage can be checked in at the BCAT terminal 3–12 hours before flight departure. Early check-in and luggage delivery services are available for all flights, but are limited to Thai Airways International and Bangkok Airways flights only.

Railway transport to Suvarnabhumi Airport includes the Airport Express and the City Line. Both the Airport Express and the City Line follow the same route, with a top speed of up to 160 km/h. Both lines connect directly at Makkasan Station to Bangkok MRT Phetchaburi Station. The Airport Express takes 15 minutes with no stops along the way, and each fare is 150 Thai baht. The City Line takes 27 minutes with 8 stops along the way, with fares ranging from 15 to 45 Thai baht.
