The SuperStar Aquarius sets sail in luxury — a 2-day, 1-night trip for just under NT$5,000 - HowToTrip

The SuperStar Aquarius, making its first debut in Taiwan, will operate all its voyages from April 7 to October 27 this year. Since Star Cruises deployed its first ship with Taiwan as its home port in 1997, the SuperStar Aquarius is the largest cruise ship in terms of displacement to date. In addition, the SuperStar Aquarius underwent a one-month renovation project costing up to US$1.6 million, including upgrades to the navigation system, hull painting, and refurbishment of various interior facilities. Compared to the previous SuperStar Libra, the cabins on the SuperStar Aquarius are larger, with some offering balconies, and the number of free dining venues has increased from three to four. In terms of pricing, taking a four-day, three-night voyage as an example, the most premium AA cabin on the SuperStar Libra was originally priced at NT$50,100, while the equivalent on the SuperStar Aquarius is NT$54,000.

The SuperStar Aquarius, making its first visit to Taiwan, will begin service in Keelung and Kaohsiung.

This year’s SuperStar Aquarius itineraries include a 5-day, 4-night Okinawa double-fun holiday starting from NT$17,600; a 4-day, 3-night Okinawa double-fun holiday or Okinawa Naha holiday starting from NT$13,500; a 3-day, 2-night Ishigaki Island holiday, Happy Ocean holiday, or Hualien holiday starting from NT$8,200; and a 2-day, 1-night Happy Ocean holiday starting from NT$4,100. Unlike previous SuperStar Libra routes, this year adds a 5-day, 4-night option, with the final voyage departing from Kaohsiung this year being a 5-day, 4-night Okinawa double-fun holiday, setting sail on October 27.

The SuperStar Aquarius offers superior facilities and cabin options compared to the SuperStar Libra.

This year, Star Cruises’ promotional offers and themed activities are all tied to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of China. For example: the “Century of Sweetness Journey” is planned, inviting 100 couples to board together to enjoy 100 desserts and share a romantic maritime trip; 100 university students will be invited to form a summer cruise preview group, participating in various onboard PK competitions such as singing contests and sports challenges.
