Work and travel in Taiwan for free food, lodging, and fun through talent!

Domestic hotel operators, seeing how many Taiwanese enjoy going overseas to work in exchange for travel and broader experiences, are recruiting youths this July to work and travel across Taiwan. Unlike the more common manual labor jobs of the past, this time participants will use their various talents to earn free hotel stays and travel funds. Those interested are encouraged to sign up enthusiastically.

Domestic hotel operators, seeing how many Taiwanese enjoy going overseas to work in exchange for travel and broader experiences, are recruiting youths this July to work and travel across Taiwan. Unlike the more common “manual labor” jobs, this program lets you earn free hotel accommodations and travel stipends by showcasing your talents. Interested individuals are welcome to apply.

To support the government’s tourism policies and attract a wider range of visitors to experience Taiwan’s culture and hospitality, Yunglo Tourism Group has launched the 2011 Global Summer Job Swap Program. By showcasing a special skill and getting selected by the judges, participants can enjoy free rooms at any of the group’s eight hotels—The Jade, Cloud Palace, Han Palace, Zhao Palace, and those under Chunghsin—and receive a daily NT$1,000 dining credit, plus a NT$10,000 travel fund, all in exchange for sharing their talents.

The program is open to youths aged 18–35 from around the world who have basic English conversation or Chinese communication skills. Whether you have a beautiful singing voice, can create poetry or paintings, dance, perform magic, or possess other talents, you can apply online by uploading your “Amazing Taiwan Travel” plan (7 days to 1 month) and a video of your talent performance. Finalists will be required to perform their talent for four hours a day (with two days off every seven days, and a minimum of 20 hours of work per week, scheduled according to the hotel’s availability) at any of the group’s hotels across Taiwan.
