Increased consultation demand leads to the establishment of a tourist service center at the City Hall Bus Terminal

Since its opening in August last year, the City Hall Bus Terminal has become a new landmark in the Taipei metropolitan area due to its multifunctional commercial facilities integrating shopping malls, hotels, and long-distance bus transfer services. Starting today, the Taipei City Government has established a tourist service center at the terminal and assigned a tourism information officer to provide visitors with sightseeing information, offering each traveler comprehensive, customized travel services.

To date, Taipei City has set up 14 tourist service centers. In addition to the newly established one at the City Hall Bus Terminal, others include those at Taipei Main Station, Songshan Airport, Eastern District Underground Street, MRT Chientan Station, MRT Beitou Station, and MRT Ximen Station. Each tourist service center provides customized services such as “tourist attractions,” “transportation and accommodation,” “festivals and events,” “package tours,” “brochures and maps,” “personalized consultation,” “tourism literature,” and “internet access,” according to its location.

From January to the end of May this year, over 710,000 domestic and international tourists visited the tourist service centers for consultation, and the number of visitors has been growing proportionally each year. As a result, the number of tourist service centers in Taipei City continues to increase to better serve visitors traveling in Taiwan.
