The Petronas Towers are an iconic landmark in Kuala Lumpur. Designed by American architect Cesar Pelli between 1994 and 1998, these towers have long been a source of pride for Malaysians. The two 452-meter-high, 88-story buildings are stacked with Islamic octagonal architectural structures, connected by a 58-meter-long Sky Bridge between the 41st and 42nd floors. The bridge allows 800 visitors per day to walk across and enjoy the view. Featured in the movie "Entrapment," starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the towers played a crucial role during their daring escape—especially the Sky Bridge, which not only stabilizes the two towers but also serves as a passageway between them. The Boulevard of Stars refers to Jalan Bukit Bintang, the main thoroughfare that sits at the heart of several major shopping malls such as Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Lotte Shopping Avenue, and KL Plaza. It is also a hub for five-star hotels, specialty restaurants, bars, and open-air cafes. At night, when all the neon lights illuminate the area, the vibrant colors blend with the glow of traffic, drawing crowds of tourists from all over who come here to enjoy food and music, packing the streets to capacity. The Boulevard of Stars is home to well-known global chains like Starbucks (note: corrected from "Starkbucks") and Hollywood Planet, as well as many uniquely distinctive international restaurants hidden in its alleys.

Ethnic Chinese areas around the world often have snack streets, and Malaysia’s famous version is Jalan Alor, which gathers numerous street food stalls. Most of the shop owners are Chinese, so the menus and signs are mostly in Chinese. Business hours start in the evening and go late into the night, attracting both locals and tourists who come here for late-night snacks.

Among them, the must-try is the roasted chicken wings from Wong Ah Wah. At the end of Jalan Alor, within less than 100 meters, there is a very famous eatery called Wong Ah Wah, which has thrived for 20 years. What started as a roadside stall has now expanded into three consecutive storefronts. Wong Ah Wah’s roasted chicken wings are cooked on a specially designed large rotary charcoal grill, delivering uniquely flavorful wings. To ensure even heat distribution, the chefs continuously turn the wings, controlling the fire and repeatedly brushing them with sweet syrup until they turn golden brown and exude a rich aroma. Once ready, guests can enjoy tender, juicy bites of deliciousness.

Once ranked among the “Top Ten Best Malls in Asia,” Kuala Lumpur’s Starhill Gallery is also one of Malaysia’s mega shopping complexes, featuring luxury brands. Another of its standout features is the underground food court (Feast), which is distinctly different from typical mall food courts. The dining environment and atmosphere are top-notch, offering mainly international cuisines such as Japanese, Italian, and Indonesian; traditional dishes like Malay, Peranakan, and Chinese cuisines are also highly flavorful. It even stays open until 1 AM for night owls. This place is considered a representation of Malaysia’s modern gourmet scene, aiming to create a more creative and safe culinary space.
