The islands of Mykonos and Santorini in the Aegean Sea are synonymous with romance. The Vinsanto restaurant, located in the former winery building, features a cave structure made of black volcanic stone, adding to its serene and profound ambiance. Situated on the southern edge of Oia town, Kirini is built along the cliffside, with white cottages stacked and staggered in layers. The reception hall at the highest point of the cliff is a small, charming white cottage. Its interior adopts Santorini’s most distinctive cave architectural style, with arched roofs and soft lighting creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Here, elegant tables and chairs replace the traditional front desk. While guests fill out check-in forms, the staff serve chilled sparkling wine and towels to help them shake off travel fatigue.

The spatial design of Kirini is also astonishing. The swimming pool is naturally built on a platform on the cliffside, and behind the pool is the “Cave Restaurant (White Cave Restaurant),” also designed based on the traditional cave architecture of Santorini. Having breakfast here not only offers a view of the pool extending toward the cliff edge, but also an unobstructed panorama of the entire Oia village — the white-dominated cottages are staggered along the cliffside, creating a breathtaking scene. At sunset, as the day gradually darkens, candlelight is lit inside the cave restaurant. In the foreground is the pool illuminated by lights, in the background are the twinkling lights of the village, and occasionally, a boat slowly drifts by in the distance — truly enchanting.
