Travel to Kenting by high-speed rail and enjoy a luggage direct-to-hotel service.

With global environmental awareness on the rise, even travel is embracing low-carbon practices. Pingtung County established last year an e-Bus system that allows real-time bus location inquiries and estimated arrival times via website, mobile app, and voice call. This year, starting July 29, it will launch the “Kenting Express Luggage Check-in Service.” Through QR code technology, travelers taking the Kenting Express no longer need to haul heavy luggage around.

The “Kenting Express Luggage Check-in Service” is currently a collaboration between Pingtung County and Kenting Fuhang. After deciding on their travel destination, visitors only need to inform hotel staff at Fuhang Hotel during booking that they have luggage to check in, and the hotel will send a QR code to the traveler’s mobile phone. Upon arrival at Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station, travelers can proceed to the Kenting Express counter to confirm their luggage check-in details using the QR code. From there, the whole family can travel unburdened and explore freely, while their luggage is automatically delivered to the hotel. A text message will also be sent upon arrival to notify the traveler.

To complement this service, Kenting Fuhang is offering special rates from July 29 to August 27: NT$2,999 per person for a two-day-one-night stay on weekdays (plus 10% service charge), and from August 28 to October 31: NT$1,999 per person for a two-day-one-night stay on weekdays (plus 10% service charge). Currently, Pingtung County plans to trial this service with Kenting Huafu for three months. If the public response is positive, it will expand cooperation to include more local homestays and hotels to enhance convenience for travelers.
