Endless fun at the New Taipei City Children's Performing Arts Festival

The summer vacation is gradually coming to an end, but the "New Taipei City Children's Performing Arts Festival," which brings joy to children, is just getting started. A premiere performance was recently held at Civic Square, where it was warmly welcomed by the public. The event will continue until October 25, featuring performances by 15 domestic and international performing arts groups. The public is encouraged to participate actively.

Mayor Eric Chu stated during the event that performing arts encompass a diverse range of elements including joy, creativity, skill, art, and culture. He expressed the hope that through joyful interaction, learning, and sharing, not only would the vitality of the arts be conveyed, but family bonds would also be strengthened. The festival includes 12 large-scale performances, with an additional 30 performances taking place in schools, ensuring that children can enjoy the arts over six consecutive weekends. The aim is also for the arts to take root across all 29 districts of New Taipei City and become deeply integrated into school life.
 

The New Taipei City Children's Performing Arts Festival has invited both domestic and international performing arts groups to stage 12 open-air "Kid’s Heart Theaters" (featuring groups such as If Kids Drama Troupe, Xi’an Yutian Shadow Puppet Theater from Mainland China, and American bubble artist “Bubble Magic,” who holds a Guinness World Record), as well as 30 interactive and educational "Amazing Art Fields" directly engaging with students. In addition, there will be 10 art workshops hosted by internationally renowned creative balancer Kevin Reese from the U.S. and local paper art master Hong Shin-fu.
 

The upcoming performances will be held on August 27 and 28 at Xinzhuang Sunshine Grassland, September 10 and 11 at the plaza outside Tamsui MRT Station, September 17 and 18 at the Sunflower Plaza in Sanchong Sports Park, September 24 and 25 at Zhonghe No. 4 Park, and October 1 and 2 at the East Bank Plaza of Bitan in Xindian. All events will take place from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
