Each delicate dessert melts smoothly in your mouth, not only healing the soul but also filling you with happiness. Add in romantic ambiance, and you might just feel like a princess yourself. Located on Daye Road in Taichung, the patisserie “Grace Patisserie” is a favorite among women, featuring a two-story building with a pure white exterior and elegant, refined décor. It’s an especially delightful spot to enjoy cake and afternoon tea.

The Grace Patisserie decorates its ceiling with pink circles of varying sizes, spotlighting the central display counter. The pink pastry showcase features a colorful array of cakes, French gummies, and savory tarts. The left-side dining area is enclosed with white lace-screen partitions, giving the feeling of stepping into another world.
Butterfly and floral patterns abound in the shop, creating a dreamy atmosphere. Owner Ms. Ye says she combines elements of nature, eco-friendliness, and whimsy to give customers the sensation of entering Alice in Wonderland.

Many of the cakes in the shop are named after French literary figures. For instance, the shop’s name “Grace” (Collette) is taken from the name of a French female playwright, giving off a youthful and vibrant vibe—exactly the feeling Ms. Ye wanted to create. She explains that all the desserts are her own original creations. From Grace to Geisha to the Banana Chocolate Tart, each piece involves complex craftsmanship. Aside from experimenting with various ingredient combinations, she also draws inspiration for shapes from different sources—she once created a Mother’s Day cake inspired by architect Gaudí.

Popular items at Grace Patisserie also include French gummies made with natural fruits, bursting with fragrance and melting in your mouth. The French savory tarts are also highly sought after, offered in flavors such as cauliflower tomato, onion beef, Marseille seafood, smoked salmon, and wild mushrooms (all NT$120), providing a wide variety of choices for customers.
