East Coast Recruits 100 Travel Enthusiasts for Exclusive Dining, Fun, and Adventure

To celebrate the centennial of the founding of the nation and promote tourism development in Hualien and Taitung, the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration (ECNSAA) specially planned the “Travel 100 Kilometers, Celebrate 100 Years – Recruit Travel Enthusiasts” campaign earlier this year. The campaign has curated 11 travel routes, including cycling adventures along the East Coast, the BIKE Green Island Low-Carbon Cycling Tour, Siouguluan River Rafting Sightseeing, and the Qialulan Handicraft Market, allowing visitors to freely choose which to participate in. The top 100 participants who join the most routes will receive an “East Coast Honorary Friend” card, which entitles them to exclusive discounts on food, drinks, and entertainment in Hualien and Taitung, and even room upgrades to presidential suites at hotels!

The East Coast Honorary Friend card is valid for three years. In addition to a prepaid cash gift of NT$5,000, the card offers premium discounts from businesses in Hualien, Taitung, and Green Island. When visiting Hualien and Taitung, simply present the card to enjoy a 15% discount on Taipei–Taitung flights, an upgrade to a Naluwan Suite at Naluwan Grand Hotel with personalized service and complimentary chauffeur pick-up/drop-off, up to 50% off on weekdays and weekends plus an upgrade to a presidential suite at Tonmao Hotel, or an upgrade to a presidential suite or complimentary two-course dinner at Fuyeh Leisure Resort. Numerous other perks are also available.

The campaign will run until the end of August, and over 8,000 people have already joined the Travel Enthusiast recruitment. The ECNSAA reminds participants that the deadline for submissions is September 30, 2011. Those who have previously joined events organized by the ECNSAA or traveled in Hualien and Taitung, and who have not yet uploaded recent photos — including those taken at Little Yehliu, Duli Amis Folk Center, Sanxiantai, or with resident performance groups — should quickly upload them to the official website.
