Small community, big creativity — the Luliao Holiday Market kicks off a slow-living experience

This October, the Yong’an Community in Taitung will host the Luliao Coffee Festival & Holiday Market on the 2nd, 8th, and 9th at Wuling Green Tunnel. Centered around themes of environmentalism, organics, local culture, and handmade crafts, the event features no flashy stages — just a wealth of organic produce, eco-friendly second-hand goods, Luliao coffee, locally made Taitung handicrafts, and warm community spirit. Visitors are welcome to join in and help revitalize Wuling Green Tunnel.

The Luliao Coffee Festival & Holiday Market adheres to principles of sustainability, organics, leisurely travel, wellness, health, and local production. It aims to offer participants a relaxing way to experience the beauty of Yong’an while enjoying a joyful time. The market features multiple stalls serving locally grown Luliao coffee and Fulu tea, alongside Hakka cuisine, coffee, organic farm produce, and creative DIY offerings from nearly 30 vendors. However, in keeping with the eco-friendly theme, all food and drinks must be consumed using reusable cups and utensils.

In addition, the market will feature various unscheduled cultural performances, mountain song sessions, coffee and tea industry showcases, organic lectures, and local specialty programs. These will provide visitors with a chance to enjoy the charm of rural communities amid the scenic green tunnel.
