Witness the beauty of Taiwan’s rice—praise the award-winning quality grains

The Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan’s “Taiwan Agriculture—A Century of Splendor” website has specially launched the “Showcasing the Elegance of Taiwan’s Rice” theme on the occasion of the annual highlight event, the “Top Ten Classic Quality Rice” announcement, to guide the public in rediscovering the many facets of “rice.” In addition, from now until October 11, those who participate in the “Praise the Award-Winning Quality Rice!” campaign will have the chance to take home plump, fragrant, and chewy high-quality rice home!

Golden “golden rice,” colorful rice with varied husk colors, and “colored rice” with purple, yellow, and green leaves—all these vibrant agricultural achievements add beautiful scenery to the countryside. In addition, the Tainan District Agricultural Research and Extension Station has successfully developed rice flour, transforming rice into rice bread, rice cakes, and other products with a firm texture and lower calories, aiming to offer the public more diverse dietary options and thereby increase food self-sufficiency. Beyond “eating,” there are also plenty of fun rural experience activities, such as personally transplanting rice seedlings and participating in rice production; there are even daily products like facial cleansers and face masks, as well as organic fertilizers and smokeless charcoal—traces of “rice” can be found everywhere!

To allow the public to see rice in all its splendid forms, the “Praise the Award-Winning Quality Rice!” campaign has also been launched. From now until October 11, simply leave a message saying “great” on the campaign page for a chance to take home plump, fragrant, and chewy high-quality rice!
