The crown jewel of Chishang’s cuisine is actually toast? The Top 100 Pearls of Huatung Valley have been announced

The "Huatung Valley Top 100 Pearls Voting Campaign" organized by the Huatung Valley National Scenic Area Administration has uncovered delicious food, fun activities, and great accommodations in the region through public voting and personal recommendations. The list of winners is out, with "Gourmet Snacks," "Lifestyle Arts," and "Stylish Homestays" being claimed by Taitung Love 65°C Handmade Toast, Duoli Rice Story House, and Chishang Fukuchi Garden Homestay, respectively.

The voting campaign ran from May 16 to August 31, attracting over 120,000 page views during the period. Taitung Love 65°C Handmade Toast, which uses locally sourced natural ingredients, won the top spot among the Top 100 Pearls with over 120,000 votes. Close behind was Duoli Rice Ice Cream, which developed healthy rice-flavored ice cream. The Lifestyle Arts Pearl was claimed by Duoli Rice Story House, which offers an in-depth experience of Chishang’s rice culture, with 11,200 votes, followed by Fukuhara Community Blacksmith Workshop, which provides an exciting blacksmithing experience, garnering over 7,000 votes. The top Stylish Homestay Pearl was Chishang Fukuchi Garden Homestay, known for its oriental Zen artistic vibe, followed by Yuchan Garden Homestay, which emphasizes natural wellness.

The scenic area administration will collaborate with Taiwan Bike Week in November to organize bicycle tours connecting various featured pearls, launching themed exploration itineraries that allow the public to leisurely and deeply discover the pearl sites of the Huatung Valley, appreciating the beautiful charm within.
