Be the first to sign up online and welcome the sunrise with singers like Amber An and A-Lin!

For the fourth consecutive year, First Financial Group and the Northeast Coast & Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications have joined hands to host the Northeast Coast Sunrise Welcoming Event at Fulong Beach. The public can start signing up online at 9:00 AM on December 9. The first 1,000 successful registrants will receive a free round-trip Taipei/Fulong train ticket provided by First Financial Group, as well as the First Financial Dawn Gift (including a souvenir “Love You” mug and a dawn breakfast voucher). Train tickets can be collected in person at the First Financial Group building between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on December 26 and 27, 2011, with valid ID.

The “Welcome the Dawn, Win with First” event will kick off at 3:00 AM on January 1, 2012, with an EDM DJ performance to warm things up, followed by appearances from all-around idol S131, creative group Music Iron, healing indie queen Landy Wen, chart-topping artist Power Station, rising goddess Amber An, and Golden Melody Award-winning talent A-Lin. The event is free to attend, and will also feature game booths and energizing breakfasts, ensuring a fun-filled morning celebration for the first day of 2012!

Justin Chien, General Manager of First Financial Holding Co., Ltd., said: “As we celebrate the 113th anniversary of First Bank and the 10th anniversary of First Financial Holding, this year’s Northeast Coast Sunrise Welcoming Event has especially lined up a stellar lineup and exciting activities that are sure to appeal to today’s youth. We believe this year’s turnout will surpass previous years, with over 30,000 people gathering to watch the sunrise!”

Hsu Cheng-lung, Director of the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area Administration, also noted that the Northeast Coast boasts many well-known tourist attractions and is close to Taipei. He welcomes the public to take advantage of the “Golden Fulong Line” shuttle bus service to explore the scenic beauty of the Northeast Coast after welcoming the sunrise.

Taiwan Railways Administration will also add extra trains to accommodate the sunrise event. From 1:30 AM to 2:30 AM on January 1, trains will depart directly from Banqiao, Taipei, and Songshan stations to Fulong. Fleur de Chine Fulong Hotel will offer First Bank credit card holders a 15% discount on rooms from December 30, 2011 to January 5, 2012, during the New Year holiday period, while First Financial Group employees can enjoy a 25% discount by showing their employee ID.
