Years ago, Twin Springs Retreat unexpectedly discovered the rare "blue sulfur spring" — a phenomenon seen only once in a century — deep within rock layers 300 meters underground. The naturally gushing spring water reaches temperatures as high as 90+ degrees Celsius, with a pH value of 1.3 to 2.5. It is classified as the most premium type of "acidic hot spring" among the 11 recognized spring types in Japan, the so-called Kingdom of Hot Springs. Currently, it is only sourced in three locations: Tamagawa Onsen in Akita Prefecture, Japan; Beitou Geothermal Valley; and Twin Springs Retreat in Jinshan — making it extremely precious. To preserve the natural quality of the spring water, the retreat is equipped with heat exchange devices that use multiple pipes to naturally cool the 90-degree water. Paired with the carbonated spring, known as the "Beauty Spring," you can first detox your body and then pamper your skin.

The resort’s ingredients and cooking methods are based on wellness concepts. Seasonal health-focused dishes are introduced from time to time. The “slow food” creative cuisine emphasizes savoring every bite and eating until you’re about 80% full, resulting in dishes that are both beautiful and delicious.
